★ 4 · Shay Gambalie · 2021-12-23The good- Red Sea diving does not disappoint. So much wildlife to see and it was truly memorable. Mido was our dive guide…. We loved him, he was very patient with my wife who is a new and nervous diver with some inner ear issues. He took his time on the dives with us and was quick to evaluate our skill level and give us any help necessary. Our only bit of advice for Mr. Mido is that he would often adjust the route of the dive from preview… communication with his dive team would have led us to trust him more soooner. That being said, if you ever ask him any questions he is quick to respond and explain. All supporting staff were great. We made several good friends that we will keep in contact with. For those that are thinking of diving in December….. I think it is a good choice. Higher visibility, less tourists… but it is a trade off. We were COLD, and some of the larger animals you can see in summer have moved on to warmer waters. Food was good. Atmosphere was relaxed. The cabin and other areas needed some attention, but it was the end of the season and I’m sure these items will be fixed during repair in dry dock. Some of the more experienced divers on our boat were slightly disconcerted by the lax view of some safety items… but the three people in our group never felt in harms way. Ahmed and Ali are younger and super sweet. We will cherish our time with them and hopefully stay in touch. A smile goes a long way…. Showing the crew you see and appreciate them really makes everyone open up. All things considered (even that 70% of the crew and guests contracted COVID on the trip), we would come back and use the same boat with the same crew at the same time of year again.
★ 5 · Jean-Paul Grethen · 2021-10-095 Stars in every rating cathegories. This liveaboard is above egyptian standarts. Staff is friendly, helps out in every need and every situation. Diveguides are excellent in their jobs.
