Kraken Divers

Tucked away at Playa Arenilla on Costa Rica's Guanacaste coast, Kraken Divers is a small PADI Resort built around personalized experiences. With just two PADI instructors and private groups of one to eight divers, the focus stays on you — whether you're taking your first breaths underwater or logging advanced dives.

Sites and courses

The team runs custom private diving and tours to sites ranging from the Catalinas to Bat Islands, including Las Catalinas Classico, Las Catalinas North, Punta Catalina, Cacique, Tortuga and Virador. Beneath the surface you might cross paths with sharks, whales, turtles and plenty of ocean fish.

Kraken Divers offers four PADI courses and activities: Deep Diver, Digital Underwater Photographer, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Advanced Open Water Diver via e-learning. On land there's air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, parking and its own dive boat, plus equipment sales and rental. Staff speak English and Spanish, making this a natural fit for divers who want a relaxed, hands-on centre with genuinely small groups.
