Scubaequip Dive Center

Tucked into Santa Ana in San José, Costa Rica, Scubaequip Dive Center is a PADI Dive Center built around teaching, gear, and getting divers into the water. With two PADI Instructors on the team, it's a welcoming base for anyone starting out or working toward the next certification, with courses run in both English and Spanish.

Courses, gear, and trips

Beyond diving courses, Scubaequip specializes in the sale and repair of equipment and in underwater photography — a nice fit for divers keen to bring their images home. The center also organizes diving trips to locations inside and outside of Costa Rica, so your logbook doesn't have to stay close to home.

On site you'll find a training pool and classroom for skills work, plus air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, and parking. With equipment sales and scuba rental both available, it suits new divers, travelling divers who've packed light, and anyone who wants their gear looked after by people who know it well.
